A 110-75 victory over Naples brings the Wildcats their first league title ever.
RUSHVILLE — The Marcus Whitman Swimming team clinched their first league title ever with a 110-75 win over Naples.
The Wildcats won 10 of the 12 events to pick up the win. They are a league best 5-0 in the Finger Lakes West and 8-3 overall.
Joe Frantel won the 200 and 500 freestyle. Bobby Shaw won the 50 freestyle, Corey Roberts the butterfly event, and Randy Pierce the backstroke and individual medley event. The Wildcat’s Medley Relay team ( Pierce, Shaw, Joe Pelton, Seth Case) , the 200 Freestyle Relay (Shaw, Case, Roberts, Frantel), and the 400 Freestyle relay team ( Shaw, Roberts, Pierce, Frantel) all picked up first place finishes to round out the Wildcat’s win.
