James Willson led the Mustangs with 10 points in a Finger Lakes East cross-over game.


After taking a few days off for mid-term exams, the area’s high school basketball teams returned to action on the hardwood floors as the 2007/8  regular season races to a conclusion. 


The Penn Yan Mustangs entertained the Victor Blue Devils in a Finger Lakes East cross-over game on Friday evening in Penn Yan. 


Victor piled up a 53-29 lead after three quarters and rolled to a 67-42 victory over the Orange and Blue.


James Willson led Penn Yan with 10 points offensively and also hauling down 10 rebounds. 


Ethan Kalmholtz added nine points.  Michael Worden and Pat Rivera chipped in 6 point apiece for the Penn Yan cagers ( 2-8,6-8). 


The Mustangs return to action next week with league games on the road at Mynderse and Pal-Mac on Tuesday and Thursday before returning home for a non-league tilt against Attica on Saturday.
