Mark A. Ronchi, 18, of 1245 Leach Road, Penn Yan. was arrested on Jan. 22 for harassment second degree.  Penn Yan Police received a complaint from a Penn Yan resident that she had been harassed at McDonald’s, her place of employment.  The incident occurred on Jan. 19 and she alleges the harassment was sexual in nature and has been ongoing.  Ronchi will appear in village court on Jan. 28 to answer the charges.


Justin L. Covert , 19, of 309 Keuka St., Penn Yan, was arrested on Jan. 23 for aggravated unlicensed operation third degree.  Village police observed Covert running a stop sign at the corner of Walnut and Clinton Streets.  A check of Covert’s license revealed it was suspended out of the Town and City of Geneva.  Covert was arraigned in village court and released on his own recognizance .  He is scheduled to appear in village court to answer charges.


Penny L. Gottshall, 28, of 136 Shepard St., Penn Yan, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child (misdemeanor) on Jan. 25.  Police were called after a school bus driver reported Gottshall was yelling and swearing in a threatening manner in the presence of approximately 30 young children, who were on the bus.  The incident occurred on Johnson Avenue in Penn Yan.  Gottshall was processed at the Penn Yan Police Department and released to appear in village court.


Monica R. Glick, 23, of Hornell was arrested on  Jan. 26 and charged with criminal mischief fourth degree.  The arrest followed an investigation of damage to a vehicle last weekend.  The vehicle was parked on East Elm St. in Penn Yan and Glick is accused of using a wooden stick to cause damage to a village resident’s vehicle.  She was issued an appearance ticket for village court.


Gary A. Anderson, Jr., 27 of 230 East Elm St. Apt.#1, Penn Yan, was charged on Jan. 26 with unlawfully dealing with a child second degree.  Anderson was charged after he allegedly marked the bodies of two Penn Yan youths under the age of 18 with indelible ink by means of tattooing.  Village police received a complaint from a Village of Penn Yan resident that their child had gotten a tattoo and was under the age of 18.  Anderson was issued an appearance ticket.


Robert R. Sciallo, 57, of 1402 Milo Center Road, Penn Yanm was charged with issuing a bad check in the amount of $256.23 to a local Penn Yan business.  The check was written in December 2007.  Sciallo is scheduled to appear in village court.
Rena C. Ferguson, 45, of 73 Charles St. was  charged on Jan. 28 with issuing a bad check to a local Penn Yan business for $39.12.  Ferguson was released to reappear in Penn Yan village court.
