For the 21st year in a row…don’t miss it!  Pack up your friends, family and camera and come to the 21st Annual Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards on the beautiful western flank of Keuka Lake, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2 and 3. 

Enjoy a lunch of delicious foods and cooking demonstrations by Chef Paul Mach (of “You’re the Chef”, a public television series) and the talented Culinary Arts students of Penn College’s School of Hospitality.  Join director of winemaking Jonathan Hunt for a special wine-tasting workshop with cellar samples. 

Family activities and exhibitors will add to the excitement on both days.  For the adventurous (or Lucille Ball fans), roll up your pants and stomp some grapes!  Prizes will be awarded for the most juice stomped!  Carl Blood and his Hillbilly Farms Belgian draft horses will provide vineyard tours.  Live music will fill the air in the afternoons.  Local craftspeople, artists and specialty food producers will display and provide samples of their wares.   

Hunt Country will also offer complimentary standard wine tastings, tours of their wine-making facilities and tours of their vertical axis wind turbine. 

Admission is free and no reservations are needed.  Food ($2 to $5) and activity tickets ($1 to $3) are purchased at the event.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Branchport fire department and churches. 

The winery will officially release five new wines at the Festival:  a rich Cabernet Franc, a vibrant vintage of its popular Vignoles; a delicious classic Semi-Dry Riesling; a versatile Cayuga White; and a fruity new blend of Foxy Lady Blush.   A number of older wines will be marked down drastically:  take advantage of the bargains!


This year’s menu includes:

- Marjoram Garlic Grilled Farm Fresh Pork with Carmelized Apple Chutney on Crusty Roll

- Sweet Herb Roasted Breast of Turkey with Ripe Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella and Basil

   over Whole Wheat Pasta with shaved Parmesan (vegetarian option without turkey)

- Bison Burger with Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters BBQ Sauce, Burning Asphalt Hickory Salt and caramelized onions

- Smoked Vegetarian Gumbo (vegan/vegetarian option)

- Chocolate Soup with Strawberry Ladyfinger

- Apple Tart with Ice Cream
