The Oliver House Museum will host the opening of its new exhibit, “Steamin’ on Keuka,” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Wine, provided by Fox Run, and cheese will be followed by a photography presentation at 6 p.m. by Museum Curator, Chuck Mitchell.

Of particular interest will be the three great sidewheel steamers from what Mitchell calls “the gilded age of Keuka steamboats,” the Urbana, the Yates, and the Steuben.

Featuring images and information on all 16 named steamboats which plied the waters of Lake Keuka between 1835 and 1931, the exhibit will run through the summer.
