Marjorie C. Miller, 73, of Dundee, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan.

Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30 at the Dundee United Methodist Church, 35 Water St., Dundee, with Rev. Marilyn Wood officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee at the convenience of the family.

Marjorie was born Jan. 3, 1938 in the town of Potter, the daughter of Pearle and Mildred Margeson Corey. She graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1956. On July 7, 1956 in Dundee, she married Jack V. Miller. He passed away on May 3, 1986.

A housewife, mother and grandmother, she had worked in the vineyards for many local grape growers, as well as having worked at Connelly’s Nursing Home in Lakemont, the Sunset House in Dundee and as a Private Home Health Care for many years, retiring in 1990. Mrs. Miller was a former member of the Dundee Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed bowling in her younger years, and was a dedicated neighborhood liaison for the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by four sons, Timothy J. (Kelly) Miller of Watkins Glen, Corey L. (Joyce) Miller of Dundee, Terry M. Miller of Elmira, Tracey S. (Patti) Miller of Dundee; two daughters Teresa K. (Larry) Howell of Dundee, Susan M. (Ron) Pulver of Fairport; 17 grandchildren, with special thanks for all the love and support given by Christopher; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Jan) Corey of Rush, Gary (Connie) Corey of Stanley; a sister, Shirley (Art) Fingar of East Syracuse, numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She was pre-deceased by a sister, Marion McMaster.
