A group of local perpetrators will be howling out for help from behind bars on Feb. 18 when the Humane Society of Yates County holds Bail for Paws.
The drama begins when volunteer inmates like “Bronk’O Bob” Church are taken into custody for their crimes, and transported by HSYC Sheriff Don Cass to court. There, Judge Mike Healy will assess the case, set bail and send the inmates to jail.
Others who have agreed to be detained include Tim Chambers, Tami Marchinoda, Judy Mahoney-Benzer, April Scott, Dr. Joseph Burke and Ann Orman, Jeff Bray, and Dr. Tanya Jackson and Dr. Kate Anderson from Eastview Veterinary Clinic.
Once the inmates are in jail, they will make calls to raise their bail, which will be in the form of donations to the Humane Society.
All the action will be on Main Street in Penn Yan between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Anyone who would like to volunteer as an outlaw should contact the Humane Society at 315-536-6094.
