Paul A. Genecco, 46, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2011 after a long courageous battle with brain cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., DeWitt. Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.

Donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Guardian Angel Society, 259 East Onondaga St., Syracuse, NY  13202.

He graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1983 and George Washington University in 1987, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a member of Holy Cross Church in DeWitt and was a board member of Father Champlin’s Guardian Angel Society.

Paul is survived by his wife of 17 years, SuAnn (Kirch) Genecco; their three children, Amelia, Leo and Lily; his mother, Mary Genecco; his mother-in-law, Ann Kirch; his four siblings, David Genecco, Anne (Peter) Nickerson, Nancy (Jerry) Tirabassi and Thomas (Dorothy) Genecco; and his brother-in-law, Neil Kirch and his step-mother-in-law, Shelba H. Kirch.  Also surviving are his seven nieces and nephews whom he adored; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.  

He was predeceased by his father, Francis R. Genecco;  his sister-in-law, Francine (David) Genecco and his father-in-law, Otis J. Kirch, as well as his grandparents.
