  • Obituary: Miriam ‘Toot’ Masteller

  • Miriam "Toot" Masteller, 76, of Palmer Township. Pa., died Friday, July 6, in her home. A private service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Rd., Easton, Pa., 18042.
    Born Aug. 15, 1935 in Holland Township, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Russett Sneckenburg. She was last employed for 17 years by the Penn Yan Boat Company, Penn Yan, where she worked in sales and labor, retiring in 1989. Her hobbies were bowling and playing softball.
    She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Easton, Pa. and of the coffee Bible study of the church.
    She is survived by a son, Robert Masteller; two daughters, Janice Knecht and Charlynn Arnold; a step-son, Mark Masteller; step-daughter, Karen Seavey; grandchildren, Mollie, Tyler, Michael, Michelle, Kayla, Dylan, Brittany Jacob, Brian, and Jared; a brother, William Sneckenburg; and two sisters, Dorothy Furhmann and Mary Lippincott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, who died in 1999.
