On Wednesday, May 22 at 6 p.m. the Penn Yan Public Library will host a two-hour concert with Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads.
Rebecca Colleen McDonald has been singing as long as can be remembered. Her rich, compelling voice and dialog between songs draws the audience in with ease. Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads perform a variety of acoustic, folk, country, gospel and bluegrass music. The Chore Lads feature Peter McDonald on fiddle, banjo, guitar and vocals, Perry Cleaveland on mandolin and vocals and Douglas Henrie on bass—all of whom have a long list of musical accomplishments. With their three-part harmonies, the performance is accomplished and lively, and not to be missed.

Penn Yan Public Library Research Director Shawn McConnell said "Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads are excellent musicians, and they play music everyone can enjoy. We are very excited for this concert."
Weather permitting, Rebecca and the Lads will perform outside on the library lawn (attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs). The concert will be inside the library if it rains. This event is free and open to the public.
