Amy Marie Thomas Flythe, 43, beloved wife and mother, passed away September 5, 2013 surrounded by her family.

The funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Franklin, Va. with Bishop James P. Councill, III officiating.  Burial with military honors followed in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.  The family received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Born in Yates County, she was an Army veteran and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her husband, William H. “Buddy” Flythe; two sons, William Allen Flythe and Matthew Paul Flythe; her mother, Rhelda Mortinson; her father, Ron Thomas; two brothers, Aaron Thomas and Matthew Thomas; mother-in-law, Shari Diane Flythe and father-in law, Elwood Dennison Flythe.
