The 2010 Yates County Fair is over, and all the awards and achievements have been listed in the record books.

But the fairgrounds won't be quiet for long, as the 2010 Thunder in the Hills, co-sanctioned by the Empire State Pullers and the New York Tractpr Pullers Association organizers prepare for the Saturday, July 24 event. For details, visit the pull's website.

Gates open Saturday at 5 p.m. Admission is $15 per person.

Then, on July 30 and 31, blues will rock the fairgrounds at the annual Blues Festival.The festival features 10 bands performing live under cover, so the entertainment will go on rain or shine. Food, fireworks, motorcycle stunt riders and more are all part of the action. Weekend camping will be available. Admission is $15 at the gate or $10 in advance. Purchase advance sale tickets before July 25 at Lloyd's Limited or online.
