The 2010 Summer Reading program is Make a Splash @ Your Library, and the fire department helped kids in Dundee do just that on July 20.
Fire Department volunteers brought equipment and helmets to the library, and the librarians set up a display of books and activities connected to the fire department for the Water to the Rescue event.
Kids and parents alike enjoyed rides around the village in an antique fire truck followed by a cooling shower provided by the fire hose.
Make a Splash @ Your Library continues on Thursday July 29 from 4 to 5 p.m. when Merry Mischief will bring their Piratical Trinkets and Treasures comedy and song show. Guests are encouraged to dress like a pirate to help bring fun and laughs to the event. Snacks and a pirate treasure will be given out.
Families should bring a blanket or chairs for the event.
