Penn Yan's new mayor, Robert Church, will work with a board of trustees that includes Michael Christensen, Bart Winslow Jr., Willie Allison and Wayne Davidson.

When the votes from 717 village residents were finally tallied at about 10 p.m. Tuesday night the results were:

Mayor: Robert Church 589 votes

4-Year Term Trustee (vote for three): Winslow Jr. 543; Allison 494; Wayne Davidson 445; Robert Hoban 294.

Christensen, who had previously served on the board and who was appointed to fill a vacancy just a couple of months ago, commented, "I have a lot of work to do for the next two years to please a number of voers who didn't vote for me."

Winslow said, "I appreciate the confidence the voters  have and I hope I do a good job. I look forward to working with a good board."

Allison said the results tell him "the voters are happy with the way things are going. We have a good level of government working here. I care for the community and I appreciate their votes of confidence."

Davidson said, "I want to thank all the voters for participating in this election and for giving the new mayor and trustees this opportunity to lead the village forward."
All absentee ballots were counted and included in the results.

Church will appoint someone to fill the trustee seat he is vacating.
