Monica and Lewis Brady of Hamilton Street in Penn Yan will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Feb. 18, 2010.
Mary Monica O’Connor of Rockport, Ontario, Canada, married Lewis John Brady of Seneca Falls at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Geneva on Feb. 18, 1950.
Before her retirement, Monica was an intensive care unit nurse at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan and Geneva General Hospital.
Lewis was a serviceman for New York State Electic & Gas. He is also a veteran of World War II.
The couple’s children are Maureen, of Seattle, Wash., Margaret of West Bloomfield, Mich., Gerald of Milton, Vt. Leo and Ann of Buffalo, Tom of Penn Yan and Mary and Joe of Wayland. They also have 13 grandchildren.
Monica is also celebrating her birthday on Feb. 18.
