A 60th wedding anniversary celebration was held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on June 20, 2009 for Robert and Phyllis Perry of Pre-Emption Road, Penn Yan.
They were married in Knoxville, Pa. on June 19, 1949.
They were blessed with four sons, Glea Perry (deceased), Dan Perry, Ronald Perry and Donald Perry, 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The celebration was attended by many family and friends.
They came from Michigan, Nebraska, Florida, Oklahoma,Pennsyl-vania, across New York State, and many from the Penn Yan area.
The party was given by their sons and wives: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Perry of Otisville, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Perry of Papillion, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Donald Perry of Clark Road, Penn Yan and daughter-in-law Bonnie Perry of Benton Center.
The day’s festivities ended with a family dinner at the Essenhaus.
