Christie Fullagar of Melbourne, Australia, formerly of Penn Yan, and Mark VanHorne of Geneva announce their engagement and plans for a July 2010 wedding.
Christie is the daughter of Margaret Long and Collier Fullagar, both of Penn Yan.
Mark is the son of Richard and Suzanne VanHorne of Seven Lakes, N.C. and Mary and Max Mendoza of Aiken, S.C.
Christie is a Penn Yan Academy graduate who has a degree is history and master of education from Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y.
She served two years with the Peace Corps in South Africa. She is working on a masters degree of International Health from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Mark earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from SUNY Geneseo and a master degree in mathematics education from SUNY Brockport. He is a teacher at Midlakes High School and adjunct professor at Finger Lakes Community College.
