PENN YAN — St. Michael’s School is starting a new  fund raising event — Bike the Bluff — a family friendly, biker enthusiast’s dream, according to Principal David Paddock.
Bike the Bluff  is scheduled for July 10, 2010 and it will feature three safe routes for beginning, intermediate and experienced bicyclists. All routes feature striking views of Keuka Lake’s beautiful shoreline.
Paddock is challenging all exercise enthusiasts and Keuka Lake fans to  join him for this inaugural ride, “It will be a great day to enjoy the bluff!” he exclaims.
Interested participants can register online at www.bikereg.com. Event day registration is from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and the bicyclists will depart in stages starting at 9 a.m.
Post ride events include games and activities for children as well as a hamburger and hot dog cook out for participants and their families.
Bike the Bluff offers  the opportunity to tour one of the region’s most scenic and spectacular routes while raising money for St. Michael’s School.
St. Michael’s School provides a Christian-centered, values-based learning environment for students of all economic, racial, and spiritual backgrounds. It is supported by a program of academic excellence. “We educate the whole child with support from parents, teachers, alumni and community members. Our goal is to provide children with the skills necessary to become productive and responsible twenty-first century citizens,” says Paddock.

Early registration fees (before June 5, 2010) are $20 for individuals and $45 for families.
Individual participants are also expected to raise at least $100 in sponsorships and families need to raise at least $300.
