Medicare.gov is the official U.S. Government Site for Medicare which provides quality data for hospitals, physicians and Medicare services nationwide.

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department in Penn Yan was ranked number one on the average (median) time patients spent in the emergency department before they were seen by a healthcare professional with a time of 9 minutes. The national median time for Emergency Departments comparable in volume to Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital is 19 minutes and the New York State median time is 23 minutes.

The Brenda & Dave Rickey Foundation Emergency Department at Geneva General Hospital ranked second with a time of 14 minutes. The national median time for Emergency Departments comparable in volume to Geneva General Hospital is 23 minutes and the New York State median time is 27 minutes.
