BOLIVAR — The community is invited to a jamboree Sunday to raise money for Lue Washer, a town of Alma Highway Department employee who is battling lung cancer.

The jamboree, to be held rain or shine, will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. at Bolivar Golf Club, 8212 County Route 5C. The band Zoar will perform, as will Chet & Louie Norton and Dave Shields & Band. A “big” Chinese auction will take place with raffle items and a 50/50 raffle will be held throughout the event.

The jamboree will follow a “sold out” golf tournament. There will be a $10,000 prize for a “hole-in-one” on hole No. 18 and a $2,500 prize for a golfer who makes a 60 putt on hole No. 11. Details will be available during golf registration.

Sunday’s fundraiser will also feature a $5,000 dice roll. The names of four people will be drawn and one may win a $5,000 price. There will be more details available at the event. You must purchase a ticket.
