CORNING - A popular Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair set for Friday at the Corning Senior Center is poised to be better than ever this year.

Chuck King, director at the Senior Center, said folks at the Senior Center are currently getting ready to hold the 2017 Christmas Craft Show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m Friday at the Center, 1 Park Lane.

“The seniors take great pride in their work,” King said. “This is another opportunity for them to show the community what kinds of crafts and other programs the Senior Center has to offer.”

King said there will be more than 20 craft vendors attending, with such items as handmade quilts, jewelry, paintings, needlecraft and other holiday crafts.

“Most of these items are created by the senior citizens who regularly attend the center,” King said. “The craft fair gives many seniors and local vendors a chance to show their crafts and make some sales during the Christmas season.

The craft show is free to attend. For further information call the Senior Center at 962-8000.

“This is another exciting program the Senior Center holds on annual basis,” said City Manager Mark Ryckman. “We encourage the public to attend and see the creativity of the senior citizens.”
