Agnes Leta Diehl, 85, of Penn Yan went to home to be with Jesus Christ on January 17, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Penn Yan Bible Church, 2015 Kimball Rd., Penn Yan. Friends may call an hour before the service with a reception to follow. A family burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn Yan Bible Church.

Leta was born May 21, 1932 in Staten Island to John and Violet (Poole) Diehl. After serving in the Navy where she received her nursing education, she worked for the Richmond Memorial Hospital in Staten Island. In 1987, she moved to this area and worked at the Ontario Arc until she retired in 2012.

Leta enjoyed her dog, Riley, and spending time with family and friends. She always looked forward to the weekly “Grandmothers in Prayer” Group at Walnut Hill, and attended Penn Yan Bible Church. Her family is blessed to think back to the day that she trusted Jesus Christ in 2004, and we rejoice knowing she is in His presence forever.

Leta is survived by her son, Robert (Mary Ann) Anderson, granddaughter, Lydia Anderson, step-grandchildren, Kevin Muchler & Marcia Muchler-Cartwright and step-greatgrandsons, Logan Muchler, Corey Newton, and Sebrian Martin.
