Nancy Ann Fernandez, 88, of Penn Yan, passed away peacefully at the home of her brother-in-law, Jack Logan.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held  at 11 a.m Friday, Feb. 9 at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan. Urn interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.

Nancy was born November 6, 1929 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Iva (Sproule) and George O’Brien. She was the co-owner and operator with her late husband, Don, of Don’s Red & White Grocery Store in Branchport. She enjoyed antique hunting.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Donald Fernandez; her brother, Brian O’Brien; and her twin sister, Patricia “Nan” Logan.

Nancy is survived by her brother-in-law, Jack R. Logan; sister-in-law, Dorothy O’Brien of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
