MUSTANGS UPSET MYNDERSE 50-47.
The Penn Yan Mustang boy’s basketball team motored into Seneca Falls on Monday evening on a mission. The Orange and Blue cager’s goal was to upset the Class B top seeded Blue Devils and continue to pick up momentum going into the upcoming Section V tournament. And for the Mustang boys, the mission was accomplished. Penn Yan spoiled Senior Night at Mynderse with a big 50-47 win over the hometown Blue Devils. The win improved Penn Yan’s Finger Lakes East mark to 10-3. But more importantly the secured the number two seed in the Section V Class B tourney with the victory. The Mustangs are 15-4 overall.
The upset Mustang win was sparked by a huge performance by senior Dylan Stape. He tallied 23 points to lead the Mustang charge. Desmond Battin added 11 points.

MARCUS WHITMAN DOWNS HAC 57-51.
The Marcus Whitman Wildcat boy’s basketball team improved their Finger Lakes West record to 14-1 with a 57-51 victory over HAC in Gorham on Monday night. The Wildcats have clinched the Finger Lakes West title. They are 16-3 overall.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS.

RED JACKET DEFEAT MARCUS WHITMAN 59-45.
Red Jacket defeated Marcus Whitman 59-45 in a Finger Lakes west contest played on Monday. Emily Thompson scored 19 points to lead the Wildcat girls. Jordyn Chappelle added 12 points. Whitman falls to 6-8 in league play with the loss. They are 9-9 overall.

PENN YAN FALLS TO AQUINAS 72-41 IN NON-LEAGUE TILT.
The Penn Yan Mustang girl’s basketball team completed their non-league portion of their schedule on a soar note. The Mustang girls hosted Aquinas in Penn Yan on Monday night, but it was the Little Irish girls who walked off the court smiling. The Rochester visitors easily defeated the hometown Mustang girls 72-41. Penn Yan fall to 10-9 overall with the loss. They are 8-5 in Finger Lakes East action with one regular season game remaining.
