The Penn Yan Academy Drama Club presents the hit Broadway musical Catch Me If You Can this weekend.

Catch Me If You Can, like the DreamWorks Motion Picture of the same title, follows the unbelievable true story of Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Junior Noah Detar). Abagnale, a con man and master of fraud, wrote over $2.5 million in bad checks and took on a number of identities between the ages of 15-21. The musical follows Frank as he is pursued across the country by FBI Special Agent Carl Hanratty (Senior Juan Espana) and his team (Senior Ivan Rosas, Junior Owen McFarland, and Sophomore Jacob Eskildsen), working to stay a step ahead of the authorities and find the life he dreams of after the separation of his parents (Seniors Zack Blauvelt and Jessica Rossi). Frank is living the high life until he decides to impersonate a doctor and meets Nurse Brenda Strong (Junior Jenna Compton). As Hanratty and his men close in, a trip to visit Brenda’s parents (Seniors Dan Falter and Ruby Schwartz) threatens to change Frank’s life forever.
