Ruth A. Drumm, 92, passed peacefully at her home in Keuka Park Wednesday, June 13, 2018 with family at her side.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at the Bluff Point United Methodist Church.
She was born November 2, 1925 in the Elmira area.
She is survived by her five children, Jim, Steve, Kathie, Karen, and Bill; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was happily married for 27 years to Bob Drumm, an agent at New York Life Insurance Company.
While her children were growing up, she was an at-home mother and a Girl Scout leader. After her children were grown, she worked at Keuka College and at Century 21. For most of her life, she lived contentedly on Keuka Lake. Ruth was an extraordinarily kind and gentle person whose motto was, “If you do not have something nice to say, do not say anything at all.”
She was an active member of Bluff Point United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bluff Point Methodist Church.
She will be greatly missed and her memory treasured by all who knew her.
