Two special events in the coming weeks will help raise financial and community support for repairs and restoration work at Garrett Chapel. This historic landmark and community center (it is on the Federal and New York State Register of Historic Places) is in need of historic renovation and preservation. 

Garrett Summer Home

An Evening at Garrett Summer Home and Boathouse on Keuka Lake, 12227 East Bluff Drive, Keuka Park will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. July 28.

The event will be held in the Garrett boathouse on Keuka Lake with tours of the Garrett summer home included. Beer, wine and light appetizers will be featured at the event which will be held rain or shine. 

Organizers say there is off-street parking and shuttle for handicap access. Tickets ($100 per person) are available at www.garrettchapel.ticketbud.com. Tickets may also be purchased by check by contacting Sue Longacre at 443-604-3993. 

Men Behaving Badly

The second of two free concerts at Garrett Chapel will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 19 and will feature Men Behaving Badly performing acoustic classic rock.
