It resembles a giant flower or a loudspeaker on steroids, but it’s really a wind turbine made in the Rochester area and installed at The Windmill Farm and Craft Market on Route 14A in Barrington.

The Windtamer wind turbine was gently put into place Aug. 13 and will provide energy to the market.

Visitors will be able to get a close-up look at the mechanics of the small scale power generator. For more information about the Windtamer turbine, visit http://www.windtamerturbines.com/
