Roy Bruce North, 81, passed away January 28, 2012.
There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral will begin at noon.
He was born March 27, 1930 in Naples, N.Y. to the late Ernest and Ethel (Yaw) North. He moved to Lee County from Penn Yan in 1969.
He and his wife were founders and owners of Garage Doors by Roy North. He loved to camp, do woodworking, travel and go on cruises.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marcena North and his sister, Alice Enos.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Connie and her husband, Robert Moore; David and his wife, Dorothy North; Carol Duby and her husband, Bob Schifferl; Darrel and his wife, Debbie North and Darrin and his wife, Kim North and close family friends, Brent and Teri Butzin, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; brothers, Albert, Robert and Lloyd North, all of Penn Yan; grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven, Holly, Mark, Megan, Amber, Darrel Jr., Cody, Kyle, Eric, Brandon, Caitlin, Kaylynn and Terry; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Makayla, Ethan, Amanda, Aiden, Kyle, Kamden, Lucas, Kolton, Ethan and Kable.
