Kenneth (Kenny) Edward Jepsen, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the Homestead Nursing Home, Penn Yan.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 East Main St. Penn Yan. A memorial service follows at 2 p.m.
Kenneth was born in Penn Yan March 9, 1937, to Arthur C. and Ellen Davy Jepsen.
Kenneth was a long time dairy farmer and then cash crop farmer for EILO Farms. Later he worked for the Town of Barrington, Highway Department and various vineyards.
He enjoyed hunting, watching wildlife, and taking long rides in the country side. Also, Kenneth enjoyed antique tractors and cars, and watching NASCAR.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Pauline Farman Jepsen; his sons, Daniel (Cyndee) Jepsen, Darwyn (Mary) Jepsen, and Larry Jepsen; his daughters, Cyndie (Dave Fleming) Jepsen, Barb (Rich) Washburn, and Janis (Rodney Busch) Jepsen; his grandchildren, Thom (Kate Silverstrim) Jensen, Christian Jensen, Michele Kenyon, Stephanie (Sean) Kokkeby, Jonathan (Shauna) Walczak, and Jennifer Walczak; great-grandchildren, Collin and Ayden Jensen, Trevor Harris, Savannah and Christina Jensen, Mikala and Brayden Kokkeby, Grace, Augustine, Adeline and Benedict Walczak, and Giovanni Latshang; his older sister, Beverly (Harold) Chidsey; younger brother, Dale (Pete) Jepsen; two nieces, Debbie (Nancy) Chidsey, and Laurie Jensen; former wife, Sue Jepsen; and several other family and friends.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ellen Jepsen; brother-in- law Harold Chidsey. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to a charity of one’s choice. The family of Kenneth wishes to thank the staff at the Homestead for their compassionate and loving care given to their husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
