Lance B. Strong, 48, of Himrod, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2017.
A celebration of life will be held at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association on at 1 p.m. Jan. 13.
Lance was born on Oct. 28, 1969 in Canandaigua.
He is survived by his mother, Darleen Strong-House and step-father Pat House; siblings, Tim (Denelle), Jarrod (Lyn) Strong, Shawn House, and Michelle (Larry) Pfeiffer; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; the love of his life, Amber Hawley; and son Brendan.
Lance was predeceased by his father, Lysle Strong.
Lance was the proud business owner of IBS builders for over 25 years and more recently the Crooked Lake Car Wash. As a business owner and individual, he donated throughout the entire community. He enjoyed volunteering at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunter's Association for the last 24 years and currently served as Vice-President. He was also active on the Yates County Fair Board for many years. Lance earned his nickname "Gunner" playing on the high school lacrosse team for Penn Yan.
