Marcia Rogoff, 71, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan.

A celebration of her life will be held at Keuka College (Norton Chapel) at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17. A gathering for family and friends will be held immediately after at Lakeside Country Club. Burial will be private at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan.

Marcia was born Aug. 24, 1946, in Brooklyn. She was the daughter of the late Rubin and Henrietta (Kressell) Goldberg.

She grew up on Long Island, graduating from MacArthur High School. She received her Associates degree from Nassau Community College.

Marcia was active in the Penn Yan community from the time she arrived in 1971.

She proudly served as the Business Director at Rainbow Junction for 38 years and took great joy in seeing generations of the same families attend the daycare center. Marcia was also very active in the United Way, serving for over 30 years, many of those as a board member.

In her free time, Marcia enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Marcia was so loved and will be missed by her colleagues and friends, but especially by her family. She is predeceased by the love of her life Michael Rogoff and is survived by two sons, Scott of Tempe, Ariz., and Peter (Carolyn); and grandsons, Luke, Sean, and Evan all of Cortland. She also leaves her extended family who loved her dearly, sisters Robin (Steve) and Shelley (Larry) and nieces Jaime, Jacqueline (Chris) and Alexis as well as nephews Jason (Laura) and Jeffrey (Lysa).

Marcia’s family would like to thank all the staff at Keuka Comfort Care and the Wilmot Cancer Center Floor 5 at Strong Memorial Hospital for the wonderful, loving, compassionate care Marcia and all of her family received.

Marcia cared so much about Rainbow Junction and was constantly working to raise funds to help with day to day expenses and to ensure it could withstand tough times. To that end, contributions in her memory may be made to Rainbow Junction Child Care Center in Penn Yan.
