Jason L. “Jake” Pero, 39, died unexpectedly Monday, July 2, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 13 at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.

Jake was born Oct. 5, 1978 in Geneva. He was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy, where he played on the high school football team. Jake worked at McDonald’s in Penn Yan.
Jake was always smiling. He loved sports, and was a total Denver Broncos fan. Jake was an amazing vegetable gardener. He loved his mom and dad, and missed his brother, Evan.
Jake is survived by his parents, Edwin and Jean Dillon Pero; maternal grandmother, Eva Dillon; five aunts, Betsey (Chuck) Kent, Carol (Ralph) Bourne, Theresa (Jerry) Betts, Anita (John) Buchinger and Gail Davis; four uncles, Chris (Heather) Pero, Vincent Pero, Clyde Dillon and Cliff Murphy; and several cousins.
Jake was predeceased by his brother, Evan Pero; paternal grandparents, Edwin David Pero and Betty Ann Pero; his maternal grandfather, Darwin Clyde Dillon; and his aunt, Mary Murphy.
