Melissy Jean Lyle, 76, of Corning, formerly of Horseheads, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at Corning Hospital, in Corning.
There are no prior calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Bradford Cemetery in the spring.

Melissy was born April 29, 1933 in Tyrone, the daughter of Paul and Cassie Yawger Lyle. She worked for many years in manufacturing development with The Arc of Schuyler County in Watkins Glen, and retired from U.C.P. in Horseheads in 2005. She attended the Altay Baptist Church whenever she could.
A loving and caring sister, and aunt; she is loved and will be missed by three brothers, James Lyle of Dundee, Jack (Gail) Lyle of Bath and Roland (Suckey) Lyle of Branchport; five sisters, Mary Schroeder of Penn Yan, Winifred Seyboldt of Horseheads, Atha Lee Dencenburg of Altay, Naomi DeCamp of Bath, Wanda (Jim) Penna of Hammondsport and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother Richard Lyle in 2005.
