Vera Kenville, 94, of Ashton Place, Clifton Springs, formerly of Dresden, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Clifton Springs Hospital.

Memorial services will held Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Dresden United Methodist Church with visitation at 10 a.m. and service officiated by Rev. Marilyn Wood following at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be served. Interment will be at Palmyra Cemetary, officiated by Rev. Gordon Pearsall of Savannah Community Church. Arrangements are with LaMarche Funeral Home, 35 Main St., Hammondsport, NY 14840

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dresden United Methodist Church, Dresden, NY 14441, the Bluff Point United Methodist Church, Keuka Park, NY 14478, or Savannah Community Church, Savannah, NY 13146

Vera was born Sept. 26, 1915 in Andrews Settlement, Pa., the daughter of Ronald L. Sr. and Minnie Eastwood James. She was a part-time clerk in the Branchport Post Office, worked many years in Michael Sterns pant factory in Penn Yan, worked in the grape vineyards and farm on Bluff Point, and also at Coynes Dresden Diner. She was a member of Dresden Eastern Stars, Bluff Point UMC, the Red Hats, and Guyanoga Valley Garage.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Cathy) Kenville of Penn Yan, Robert (Earle Jean) Kenville Jr. of Bath and a daughter, Sharon (R. William) Redder of Savannah. She had seven grandchildren, Barb Farrell, Byran, Jeff, and Mike Kenville, Kelly Dickson, Jim and Steve Redder, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Louise and Emma James, and a brother-in-law, Cleon Niver.

She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Robert Kenville Sr., who died April 15, 2005; her sisters Dorothea, Carol and Genevieve; and brothers Dareth and Ronald James Jr.
