Sabad Nieves
RUSHVILLE – Sabad F. Nieves, age 78, died December 24, 2007 in Florida after a short illness.
Friends called Saturday, Dec. 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in Rushville Cemetery.

Sabad was born in Puerto Rico. He married June Hilton on Dec. 7, 1952 in Naples, NY. They lived in Batavia for several years, and then in Rushville before moving to Hobe Sound, Florida. His wife, June,  predeceased him on Oct. 20, 2001 after 49 years of marriage. He was retired from Grumman Aerospace.
He is survived by two sons, Bruce (Jean) Harvey of Waterloo and Richard A. (Carol) Nieves, Sr. of Ohio; one daughter, Joan (Steve) Hessler, of South Dakota; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Bienvenido F. Nieves of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
Sabad was also predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Nieves.
