Ray D. Houston, 68, of 2 Main Street, Penn Yan, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 at home.

Calling hours for Ray will be held Monday, Aug. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Weldon Funeral Home.  Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the National Cemetery in Bath.

Donations on Ray's behalf may be made to the charity of one's choice.

He was born Jan. 11, 1942, the son of Foy and Vera Dooley Houston.  He served with the U.S. Marine Corp.  He is survived by his wife Louise; children, Douglas, Steven, Janet and Debbie Houston; step- children, Karl (Rhonda) Wilkins, Gordon (Aneatra) Wilkins, Robert (Katrina) Wilkins, Raymond (Christine) Wilkins and Teresa (Alfred) Burdick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ned (Mary Sue) Houston and Jeneil (Agnes) Stewart, and his best friend Pete.
