Suellyn T. Nelson, 66, of Himrod Road, Himrod, died Thursday, August 12, at Rochester General Hospital.
Calling hours for Suellyn will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Weldon Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held, Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Milo Center Methodist Church.

Suellyn was born on April 18, 1944, the daughter of George and Mildred Gates Tenney. She was an elementary teacher, retiring from Dundee Central School after 10 years. She was a member of Home Bureau, a talented crafter, painter and an avid gardner. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a caring friend.
Suellyn is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joe; her mother Mildred Melfi, of Himrod; mother-in-law, Alberta Nelson of Himrod; son, Joe (Angela) Nelson of Penn Yan; daughters, Marjorie (Jeff) Hathway of Canandaigua and Meridith (Marc) Race of Penn Yan; grandchildren, Miranda, Anthony and Dominic Nelson and Brenna and Greyson Hathway; brother Micahel (Irene) Melfi; sisters-in-law, Cookie (Kirk) Brooks, Winnie(Marty) Reynolds and Donna Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
