Ed Gulvin 86, died Sunday, January 24, 2010.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham, where a service will be held at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2113 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624; or the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd., North, Rochester, NY 14610-0609.

Ed was a World War II veteran, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He had his own business, Gulvin’s Septic Tank Service and Excavating for over 40 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda (Albert) Ryder and Nancy (Richard) Wells; four grandsons, Roger (Kristy) and Jeffrey (Angel) Wells, Christopher (Cassie Hey)  and Shawn Ryder; eight great-grandchildren, Dakota, Michael, Richard, Sierra, Austin, Rachel and Katie Wells and Tucker Ryder; three sisters, Loretta Bennett, Celia (Edward) Elliott and Marjorie Warner; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Moo.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris; sisters, Anna Kline and Helen Couse and a brother, Gordon Gulvin.
