MILDRED ADAM

RUSHVILLE — Mildred Hey Adam, 93, of  South Main Street, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at her home.


Friends may call Friday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.


Funeral services will be held Saturday (Feb. 9) at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 514 E. Swamp Road., Penn Yan. Pastor Nissa Diebler will officiate. Burial will be in Shuman Cemetery, Town of Potter.


Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church.


Born in the Town of Potter, she was the daughter of Albert and Bessie Oswald Hey. She was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Rushville  Sales & Service, and later worked at Comstock Foods in Rushville. She was a life member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher. A former Cub Scout Den Mother, she was a member of the Rushville Fireman’s Auxilliary and the Robson Savage American Legion Post Auxilliary.


She enjoyed her family and sewing and crocheting for family, church and friends.
Mrs. Adam is survived by three sons, Milton (Lorie) Adam, Gerald (Elaine) Adam, and Clyde (Jean) Adam; eight grandchildren, David Adam, Debbie Wood, Denise Adam, Sandra Federico, Michael Adam, Karen Simons, Daniel Adam and Thomas Adam; 13 great-grandchildren, David J., Jason, Nick, Josh, Betsey, Mindy, Jessica, Maria, Caleb, Laura, Lindsey, Adam and Annalise; two great-great-grandchildren, Audrey and Adric; brother, Hubert (Doris) Hey; sister-in-law, Irma Jean Roldan; niece, Madeline Adam; and several other nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by husband, Milford Adam, and brother, Donald Hey.

EARL GILLETT MELIOUS

PALMYRA — Earl Gillett Melious, formerly of Gorham, a Korean War veteran from September 1950 to October 1952, died January 28, 20008.


A pivate service was held  at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.

He is survived by wife, Leola L. Melious; stepchildren, Kathleen G. Wilson and Suanne B. (Chuck) Thurman; step-grand and great-grandchildren; twin sister, Elizabeth (Frank) Owens; brother-in-law, Gordon Cripps; nieces and nephews, W. Eugene (Linda) Cripps, Ralph (Doris) Cripps, Mary Lou Cripps, Lola (Les) Marshall, Graydon (Shirley) Owens and Louise (Larry) Duke; and great-nieces and nephews.

JOHN D. MOSHER

NEWARK – John D. Mosher, age 86, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Newark Manor Nursing Home.


Friends called Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.


Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
John was born March 27, 1921. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and playing cards.


He is survived by one daughter, Kathy (James) Reed; one son, Leslie Mosher; three grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Mosher, Michelle Mosher, and Crystal Reed; seven great-grandchildren, Sky, Seth, Mike Jr., Sydney, Sarah, Jaime and Destiny; close friend, Norma Tears; brother, Wendall; sister, Sharon; and several nieces, nephews and friends of the family.


He was predeceased by his wife, Elma Parker Mosher in 1997; son, John D. Mosher, Jr., nine sisters and one brother.

KATHLEEN REIBLING

RUSHVILLE – Kathleen Reibling, age 81, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008.
Friends called Friday evening, Feb.1, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Feb. 2 at noon at St. Mary’s Church in Rushville.


Memorial contributions may be made to Apostolate for Family Consecration, 3375 Co. Rd. #36, Bloomingdale, Ohio 43910-7903.


Mrs. Reibling was a member of St. Mary’s Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters. A former PTA member, she loved to do crossword puzzles and cooking. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert.


Surviving are nine children, Carol Paul, Rita Reibling, Michael (Lori) Reibling, Patrick Reibling, Therese (Timothy) Hebding, Timothy Reibling, Gerald Reibling, Frank (Linda) Reibling, and Dennis (Sherry) Reibling; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (Dean) Imthurn; brothers, Richard (Gloria) Artz and Raymond (Pauline) Artz; and several nieces and nephews.

JACOB G. SCHUCK

PULTENEY— Jacob G. ‘Jake’ Schuck,  77, of Brown Road., Pulteney died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Arnot-Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.


Friends and Family may call at the Bottoni-Wood Funeral, 4 Mechanic St., Prattsburgh on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Prattsburgh.  Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Prattsburgh.  A luncheon will follow at the Pulteney Fire House.


Memorials may be made in Jake’s name to the Pulteney Ambulance, 9203 County. Route. 74, Pulteney, NY  14874 or to the American Heart Association, PO BOX 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.


Jake was born on Dec. 13, 1930 in Valley Stream, Long Island, NY, the son of Jacob and Margaret Kiesel Schuck.  He married Olga Gutow on Oct. 25, 1958.  He was a life long farmer in Prattsburgh and was an avid gardener, hunter, and loved watching sports.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Olga (Gutow) Schuck on Feb. 26, 2000; and brothers, Elmer and Wilfred Schuck.


He is survived by his children, Gary (Kamala) Schuck of Prattsburgh, James (Wendy) Schuck of Prattsburgh, Andrew (Maureen) Schuck of Penn Yan, Robert (Janice) Schuck of Hammondsport, Barbara Schuck of Canandaigua, and Joseph Schuck of Pulteney; grandchildren, Michelle, Justyn, Michael, Jordan, Reece, Peyton, Bryce, and Braedyn Schuck; sisters, Margie (Angie) Gentile of Hornell and Connie (Mike) Skordynski of Elmira; sister-in-laws, Evelyn Schuck of Pulteney and Thelma Schuck of Penn Yan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
