Daisy M. Whitbeck, 89 of Ferndale, Wash. passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 6, 2010
Daisy was born on May 30, 1920 in DeLand, Fla. to Arthur and Leona (Wright) Reeves. She married Francis Whitbeck on June 2, 1938 in Penn Yan. He preceded her in death in February of 1979.
Daisy worked as an Electrons Assembler in the aerospace industry, retiring in 1986 and moving to Ferndale in 1987. In her younger years, she loved walking. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and collecting artwork, and she loved animals. Daisy also liked doing crossword puzzles. She had an inquisitive nature and was curious about many things.
In addition to her husband, Daisy was also preceded in death by two sisters, Fanny Reeves and Olive Tellez. She is survived by her children Carol, Martin and Mark Whitbeck and Victoria Shubert; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
