Helen Josephine Phelps Montfort Studders, 73, died August 17, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Seneca #9 Presbyterian Church, 4414 Number Nine Rd., Stanley.

Helen was the daughter of the late Norman and Helen Crane Phelps. She grew up in Addison. Helen was an alumnus of the University of Buffalo, where she received her degree in nursing. She was a longtime resident of Geneva, where she taught Lamaze childbirth classes and had a daycare in her home on Jay St. Helen’s sons were her pride and joy.
She is survived by three sons, Steven (Heather), David (Michele), and Robert Montfort; three granddaughters, Caroline, Lauren and Jennifer Montfort; one sister, Norma Beth DuMais; one brother, Glenn (Lynn) Phelps; stepmother, Audrey Phelps; sister-in-law, Marion Colt; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Dewey Montfort and Thomas Studders.
