Barbara June Warren, 85, of Penn Yan, formerly of Himrod and Dundee, died Saturday August 7, 2010 at The Homestead in Penn Yan.
Honoring her wishes, there were no prior calling hours; a graveside service officiated by Rev. Gerald Vanaman was held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, in Hillside Cemetery, Route 14A, Dundee. Arrangements are with the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water St., Dundee.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Barbara June Warren was born June 4, 1925 in the town of Barrington. She was one of the five children of Ray T. and Cora Elizabeth (VanMarter) Warren. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1943. A life long local resident, Barbara was a former employee of the Comstock Canning Factory in Penn Yan.
She is survived by her sister in law, Helen Warren, of Penn Yan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Donald J. Warren; and three sisters, Shirley Jensen, Kate Nelson, and Adelaide Marie Peris.
