Martha Larsen VanAuken, 93, of Penn Yan, died Monday, March 15, 2010 at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Martha was born August 9, 1916 the daughter of Edward G. and Florence M. Joy Fullagar. She was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy in 1935, and lived in Benton Center and Penn Yan. She was a member of Benton Methodist Church and was active in supporting the church, as well as the Benton Volunteer Fire Department and numerous other local organizations.
She is survived by her son Robert J. (Carol) Larsen of Easton, Md., granddaughter, Kristen E. (Joseph) Larsen Vesey of Brookfield, Conn., great grandchildren Chase, Jake, Gavin, and Caroline Vesey, also a loving care-giver Evelyn Dillon. She was married and widowed twice; her first husband was James L. Larsen who died in 1973, and her second husband Robert VanAuken died in 2005. She was also predeceased by one sister and two brothers.
