The Penn Yan Mustang girl's lacrosse team squared off against traditional rival Geneva on Tuesday afternoon in Geneva. The Orange and Blue used an 11-1 scoring outburst in the 2nd half to run away from the Panthers 20-5. The win improved Penn Yan's season record to 7-5 with the regular schedule rapidly dwindling down.

Hannah Keech led the Mustang's scoring romp with 6 goals. Sydney Bloom added 4 goals to the Penn Yan winning numbers. Brenna Voigt and Elissa Callaway also scored 3 goals while dishing out 6 and 1 assist respectively. Also scoring goals for the Mustang girls were Allison Dixon and Cassidy Prather. Sydney Hulse added an assist. Alexandra Cox and Hanna Brodman combined time in the nets for Penn Yan. They limited the Geneva squad to just 5 goals while recording 4 and 3 save respectively. 

The Marcus Whitman Wildcat girl's lacrosse team won and lost one game in high school girl's lacrosse action.

Marcus Whitman 14 Livonia 11

On Monday in Livonia, the Wildcats defeated their hosts 14- 11. MW jumped out to a 7-4 lead at the half and held on for the 3 goal win. Emily Thompson scored 6 goals and added 2 assists to lead the Wildcat offense. Jordan Knapp and Abbie Alvord connected for 2 goals and 1 assist each. Also scoring for Whitman was Charlotte Alvord, Kelsey Tiffany, Elli Nemitz, and Cameron James. Liz Cooley had 15 saves in goal for Whitman.

Mynderse 6 Marcus Whitman 3

On Tuesday Mynderse defeated Marcus Whitman 6-3. Whitman could not overcome a 5-2 first deficit in this contest. Emily Thompson scored 2 of the Wildcat goals while Abbie Alvord added the other. Cameron James chipped an assist. Liz Cooley had 7 saves in goal for the Wildcats. Whitman's season record now stands at 9-4.

Geneva 5 Penn Yan 1

The Penn Yan Mustangs and Geneva Panthers have battled over the years for high school lacrosse supremacy. The Mustangs have held the upper hand for the past decade. The two teams faced off on Tuesday evening at Keuka College for the latest edition of this rivalry match. This time the evening would belong to the Geneva Panthers.

Geneva shut down the potent Mustang offense limiting them to just 1 second quarter goal en route to a 5-1 victory. The Panthers improve to 8-4 with the win and Penn Yan falls to 6-7.

Ben Emerson scored the lone Penn Yan goal. Jeff Kinyoun recorded 7 saves in goal, while teammate Kyle Welker had 4 saves.

In other high school boy's lacrosse action Tuesday, Gananda defeated Marcus Whitman 18-1.
