Dundee 53 Canisteo-Greenwood 28

The Dundee Scot boy’s basketball team opened their 2017-18 season on the right foot. The Scots traveled to Canisteo-Greenwood Nov. 30 to take on their Steuben County neighbors. The contest featured a series of runs for the Scotsmen. Dundee jumped out to a quick 14-2 lead but fell behind early in the third quarter. But a 31-4 scoring spurt by the Scots in the final 11 minutes propelled Dundee to a 53-28 victory. The Scotsmen jump out to a 1-0 early season record.

Dundee was paced by a 20-point performance by Wylie Hall. Kyle Cratsley added 17 points to the winning Dundee numbers. The Scotsmen will host Bradford Dec. 4.

Marcus Whitman 61 Clyde-Savannah 48

The Marcus Whitman Wildcat girl’s basketball team picked up win number one Thursday evening at home in their season opener. Whitman defeated Clyde-Savannah 61-48.

Jordyn Chappelle topped the Whitman scoring sheet with 22 points. Teammate Emily Thompson added 16 points and 10 rebounds. She also recorded 10 steals. Maddie Ryan chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds for the victorious Wildcat girls.
