The Penn Yan Mustang bowling teams traveled to Roseland Bowl Dec. 14 to take the Big Green from Naples in a non-league match. Both the Mustang girls and boys teams registered 4-0 shutout wins.

Penn Yan Girls 4 Naples 0

In the girl’s match, Penn Yan piled up 2,390 total pins to Naples 1,908. Kari Ayers was Penn Yan’s top bowler, rolling a 590 series (192). Brandee Ellis added a 499 (198) while Emily Augustin chipped in a 481 (169). Emilie Thomas also bowled a 465 (169) to help Penn Yan to their 20th win in 24 tries.

Penn Yan Boys 4 Naples 0

The Mustang boys also posted a 4-0 win over Naples. The Orange and Blue tallied 2,521 pins to 1,795 for Naples. Zack Blauvelt topped the Penn Yan scoring sheet with a 614 series (214-232) Zach Gurba added a 519 (193) and Cameron Bassage added a 511 series (176). Jon Mashewske rolled a 493 ( 212) for Penn Yan. The Orange and Blue bowlers improved their season record to 19-5 with the victory.

Penn Yan Girls 4 Wayne 0

The Penn Yan Mustang girl’s bowling team shut out Wayne 4-0 at Lakeside Lanes in Penn Yan Dec. 13. The Orange and Blue out pinned their Wayne County guests 2,579 to 2,298 enroute to sweeping the three games. Kari Ayers was Penn Yan’s top bowler, rolling a 605 series (197-206-202). Emily Augustine added a 526 (212) while teammate Brandee Ellis contributed a 471 (169). McKelvie Jensen rolled a 463 (179) for the Mustangs.

Wayne Boys 4 Penn Yan 0

The Penn Yan Mustang boy’s bowling team dropped a 4-0 decision to a hot bowling Wayne team. The Eagles piled up 3,171 pins in their three game compared to Penn Yan’s 2,614 Dec. 13. Zach Gurba was the Mustang’s top bowler rolling a 571 (204-197). Jon Mashewske added a 557 series (211-200) while Marcus Mayhew chipped in a 512 (187).

Newark Girls 4 Dundee 0

The Dundee Scots bowling team hosted Newark in a non-league bowling contest Dec. 13. The Newark bowlers knocked down 2,863 total pins to Dundee’s 1,564. Mercedez Roy was Dundee’s best bowler, rolling a 357 series. Isabella Heavener-Ortiz added a 336 series.

Newark Boy’s 3 Dundee 1

The Newark boy’s team edged Dundee 3-1 on the strength of a big 3rd game win. The Reds out-pinned Dundee 1,088 to 880 in that match to take the total pin victory 2,778 to 2,617. The two team split the first two games. Jared Hartman topped the Dundee scoring sheet with a 555 series (204-203). Connor Muck added a 516 (235). Stephen Smith and Lucas Bowden contributed 439 and 468 series respectively.

Dundee Girls 4 Honeoye 0

The Dundee Scot boy’s and girl’s bowling teams registered 4-0 shutout wins over Honeoye in a Finger Lakes West match at Lakeside Lanes in Penn Yan Dec. 12. Dundee was led by Mercedez Roy. She rolled a 385 series (161) to pace the Scots. Dundee collected 1,547 total pins to Honeoye’s 1,351. It was the first victory of the season the Dundee squad.

The Dundee Scot boy’s team also shutout Honeoye 4-0. Dundee scored 2,350 total pins to Honeoye’s 1,489. Jared Hartman topped the Dundee scoring sheet with a 585 series (216). Hunter Murphy added a 181 while Lucas Bowden bowled a 180.

Marcus Whitman Boys 4 Geneva 0

The Marcus Whitman Wildcat boy’s bowling team blanked Geneva 4-0 at Roseland Bowl in Canandaigua Dec. 12. The Wildcat’s aggregated pin total was 2,755 to Geneva’s 2,258. Zach Payne rolled a 590 series (171-208-216) to lead the Wildcats. Dominick Mangiarelli rolled a 581 (180-198-203). Whitman’s Parker Smith took the honor of highest single game, rolling a 255. Logan Sieber added a 203 while Josh LaBarr bowled a 198.
