The Penn Yan Mustang boy’s basketball team entertained Rochester Prep in an early starting game Jan. 2 in Penn Yan. The host Mustangs dominated this contest from the opening tip-off as they rolled to an easy 95-62 victory. The Mustangs led 52-23 at the half on their way to their biggest offensive game of the season, 95 points. The win improved Penn Yan’s overall mark to 7-1. They are 3-0 in Finger Lakes East League action.

Desmond Battin and Dylan Stape tallied 21 points each for the Orange and Blue. Ben Emerson added 19 points while Peyton Schuck chipped in 15 points. Will Rogers tallied 10 points.

Naples 67 Dundee 53

The Dundee Scot boy’s basketball team dropped a 67-53 decision to Naples in Dundee Jan. 2. The contest was the first Finger Lakes West League in the new year for both teams. Wylie Hall led the Scotsmen in scoring with 14 points. Robbie Clark also played a strong game for Dundee scoring 13 points.
