The Marcus Whitman Wildcat boy’s bowling team continued their amazing season with a 4-0 shutout win over Geneva at Sunset Bowl Jan. 16. The Wildcat boy’s are 51-1 this season. Whitman almost hit the 3000 mark Tuesday picking up 2,817 total pins. Geneva ended the day with 1,667 pins. Zach Payne was Whitman’s top bowler, rolling a 685 series including a high game of 265. Dominick Mangaiarelli also added a 600 series including a 222 single game.

In the girl’s match, Geneva shutout Whitman 4-0. The hometown Panthers had 2,123 pins to Whitman’s 1,861. Leah Aaron rolled a 390 series (152) to lead the Whitman team. Marcus Whitman falls to 15-37 with the loss.
Penn Yan Girls 3 Wayne 1
The Penn Yan Mustang girl’s bowling team ran their season record to 36-16 with a 3-1 victory over Wayne at ATM Empire Lanes Jan. 16. Penn Yan picked up 2,355 total pins to Wayne’s 2,203. The Penn Yan girls scored victories in the second and third games after dropping the opening contest. Emily Augustine rolled a 515 series (184-166-165) to lead the Mustang girls. Emilie Thomas added a 476 (169) while Kari Ayers rolled a 472 (165). Brandee Ellis added a 453 (182).
Wayne Boys 3 Penn Yan 1
The Mustang boy’s team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Eagles in Rochester Jan. 17. Wayne outscored Penn Yan 2,793 to 2,635 winning the first and third games of the contest. Zach Blauvelt bowled a 619 series (183-237-199) to lead Penn Yan. Zack Gurba added a 596 series (191-192-212). Cameron Bassage chipped in a 522 (192-171). Penn Yan falls to 34-18 with the loss.
Dundee Boys 4 HAC 0
The Dundee Scot boy’s bowling team defeated HAC 4-0 in Penn Yan Jan. 16. Dundee outscored the visiting Wolves 2,695 -1,299 in this contest. Lucas Bowden rolled a 589 (205-235) to top the Dundee scoring sheet. Jared Hartman added a 575 (205) while Collin Hartman chipped in a 190 single game. Dundee’s season record now stands at 38-13-1.
Dundee Girls 3 HAC 1
The Dundee Scot girl’s team scored a 3-1 victory over HAC in Tuesday. Dundee picked up 1,840 total pins to HAC’s 1,823. Dundee scored wins in the first and third games. Edele Morgan rolled a 449 series, including a high game of 176. The Dundee girls improve to 23-29 with the victory.
Wayne 37 Marcus Whitman 34
The Marcus Whitman Wildcat wrestling team dropped a 37-34 non-league decision to Wayne in Gorham Jan. 17. Justin Smith (120 lbs.), Charlie Burgess (132 lbs.), Preston Smith (182 lbs.), and Jake Hill (285 lbs.) recorded victories by fall for the Wildcats. Andrew Norrison (145 lbs.) added a 8-0 major decision victory. Whitman’s Evan Grey picked up a win by forfeit in the 99 lbs. match.
