The annual high school lacrosse showdown between the Penn Yan Mustangs and Canandaigua Braves is always a highlight of any lacrosse season. The two local high school lacrosse powers faced off for the 23rd time April 6 in Penn Yan. The newest edition of this epic rivalry game was played on a cold, windy night on the Mustang Field turf.

The visiting Braves scored in overtime to walk off with the 7-6 victory. Penn Yan falls to 1-1 with the loss.
The Mustang offense was led by Austin Blumbergs with 4 goals and 1 assist. Conner Fingar and Devon Gerhardt added 1 goal each. Dylan Stape added an assist. Jeff Kinyoun recorded 4 saves in goal for Penn Yan.
